Job Description/Skills Required:
Customer requirement:
Ø Installation, configuration and maintenance of Windows 2003, 2008 servers, operating system, storage and backup equipment.
Ø Monitoring servers using Microsoft Operations Manager for high availability and addressing alert events
Ø Maintaining hardware health, troubleshooting and vendor coordination when required
Ø Install, configure and support of Microsoft Cluster server, network load balancing server
Ø Provide Net Backup support as required to ensure that all server and storage are backed up per standards. Backup restoration support
Ø Develop and maintain documentation on server, storage and backup environment
Ø Install and maintain patches and antivirus software as required to meet standards
Ø Interface with various vendors and support groups on standards, Best Known Methods and the resolution of problematic issues.
Ø Assist in the resolution APPS LAB application issues
Ø Support server projects as directed in support of the local campus environment
Customer requirement:
Ø Must have 4+ years of experience in Microsoft 20003, 2008 enterprise environment server support
Ø Must have hands-on experience in HP Server hardware installation and troubleshooting
Ø Experience in windows cluster and network load balancing
Ø Experience in using Net Backup Client for initiating manual backup and restoration on request
Ø VB/WMI scripting knowledge is mandatory requirement for this position
Ø Ability to coordinate with different support teams and vendors
Ø Excellent verbal and communication skills with high customer orientation
Ø Excellent problem solving skills for technical and software related issues
Ø Ability to work independently while strictly following technical specifications
