Position: Program Test Manager 

Location: New York

Duration: 6 Months+

Skills & Job Requirements:

Role overview

·         A Program Test Manager will oversee the overall testing activities of a project from the Basel III perspective.

·         The person is responsible in planning, organizing and controlling the test activities.

·         He/she will be responsible in handling a team of manual testers seated in onshore and/or offshore region.

Key Deliverables:

The candidate will be based in New York, and is expected to deliver following services to the clients.

·         Liaise with the stakeholders in various locations, line management CFO IT and testing process manager

·         Liaise with the Domain Test Manager for all testing requests

·         Oversee and monitor all testing activities; define corrective actions in case of deviations; manage the test team he/she handles

·         Able to communicate effectively with users/colleagues to discuss and understand the issue.

·         Demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills.

·         Able to escalate critical and high priority issues to senior management both horizontally and vertically.

·         Take ownership of the overall testing for a specific project

·         Produce and deliver daily/weekly reports and trends metrics to drive the facts.

Qualifications /   competencies

REQUIRED:

·         Degree in IT or business administration with strong IT and Testing background

·         Experience in implementing a test strategy in a complex environment (multi-national,  3^rd party vendor)

·         Strong communication and coordination skills, open-mindedness

·         Strong team player

·         Experience in an international environment

·         At least 7-10 experience as a Senior Test Manager in a demanding, complex area

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

·         Quality Center

·         Oracle

·         Sybase

·         Java

·         C++

·         .Net

·         Business Objects

·         Unix

GOOD TO HAVE:

·         ISTQB or ISEB (Test Management Advanced) Certified

·         Knowledge of financial industry

·         Knowledgeable Basel III Program
