Position: Sharepoint System Analyst
Location: Bellevue, WA
Duration: 3+ Months Contract

Job Requirement & Technical Skills Required:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans, directs and completes the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing content management systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Acts as the primary face of IT to the internal Customer and is the liaison between the user community and internal IT resources for all content management needs, primarily SharePoint.
·         Utilize and train others on their knowledge of the business processes in enterprise content management and can work with the Business to define requirements that will drive efficiencies in the business taking into account the entire picture as well as the details.
·         Interviews Business Partner end users to determine and document requirements for data, reports, analysis, metadata, training, service levels, data quality, and performance. Assists the customer in the creation of high-level feasibility assessments and IT level-of-efforts.
·         Translates business requirements into system impacts and functional specifications and works with solutions architects and developers to translate requirements into technical specifications.
·         Helps identify and assess potential data sources and executes data source validation, including writing a validation plan, assisting with or building scripts, executing the scripts, and communicating results.
·         Validates that the SharePoint solutions meet requirements and service level agreements.
·         Coordinates prototype reviews and creates Test Requirements.
·         Work with solutions architects and developers to translate requirements into technical specifications.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
·         Provides accurate estimates of effort and timelines for completion of assigned tasks.
·         Take initiative to determine the need and to design and deliver training to department and business.
·         Initiates and executes initiatives to improve the processes, procedures, and tools utilized by the team.
·         Reviews deliverables and provides input for other analysts.
·         Creates and delivers articulate and effective oral presentations to a variety of audiences, large or small, internal or external.
·         Readily transfers knowledge within the team and company by taking the initiative to identify opportunities.
·         Coordinates with production support on system enhancements and provide ongoing operating support.
·         Researches production issues and supports the Application Support group as needed.
·         Regularly conveys status to stakeholders and management.
·         Coordinates with production support on system enhancements and provide ongoing operating support.
·         Takes initiative to determine the need and to design and deliver training to the IT and the business communities.
·         Educates the business on the SharePoint solution functionality and identifies opportunities for extension of platform.

·         Experience using SharePoint MOSS (2007 and 2010) tools for business purposes plus integration with MS Office productivity tools (Word, Excel, Access, Project, PowerPoint, Visio and SQL Server).
·         Has experience with & capability to train others on various business process and system modeling tools including: Data Flow Diagrams, Process Models, ER diagrams, Dimensional Data Models, Context Models, Event Modeling, State Modeling, Process decomposition, and Use Case Scenarios.
·         Understands the system development life cycle and can train others on SDLC concepts.
·         Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments and delegate to others as well as monitor their work for completion.
·         Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on an existing suite of complex applications.
·         Technical writing skills producing clear and unambiguous deliverables.
·         Ability to provide quality and accurate deliverables.
·         Knowledge of key SharePoint MOSS (2007 and 2010) methodologies and governance.
·         Ability to recommend appropriate scope of requirements.
·         Ability to understand and apply system/desktop tools.
·         Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments and delegate to other analysts.
·         Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on an existing suite of complex applications.
·         5 year minimum experience developing business solutions with MS SharePoint (2007 and 2010) preferred.
·         Experience in transitioning from SharePoint2007/2010 to Office 365 preferred.
Experience in Office 365 preferred.
·         Experience creating Requirement, Functional Specification, & Test Requirement documents required.
·         Experience with supporting both purchased and in-house developed applications required.
·         5 year minimum experience in software development, software design or business process design and implementation preferred.
·         5 year minimum experience in telecommunications industry preferred.
·         2 years minimum Project Management, Management, Team Lead, or other equivalent leadership experience preferred.
·         5 year minimum experience with a formal SDLC preferred.
·         2 year experience in leading customer requirements gathering sessions required.
·         Minimum 5 years’ experience in translating business needs into requirements and functional specifications for reporting and/or analytic solutions required.
·         Minimum 5 years’ experience in business process design and implementation required.
·         Leadership skills in both technical and process oriented initiatives
Strong oral and written communications skills
Excellent problem solving skills
A four year degree in Business, MIS, or equivalent (7 years of related experience/training preferred).
