Position: SQL Server DBA

Location – Redmond, WA

Duration – 6 Months+

Skills & Job Requirements

Skills: SQL Server 2008 - (L2)

·         3+ years Strong SQL knowledge – strong in writing T-SQL queries, procedures, functions, understands different recovery models, database backup/restore operations, knows how to work with query analyzer, etc.

·         Knowledge in large databases management (> 500 GB).

·         SQL Programming knowledge, writing stored proc, function etc.

·         Strong knowledge in writing optimized queries in distributed environment.

·         Developing SSIS packages, Data Transfer using Import/Export and BCP process.

·         Configuring Link Server.

·         Writing batch/Power Shell/SQLCMD/C# scripts

·         Database backup and restore operation.

·         Database tuning, DB space and memory management.

Role:

·         -Managing VLDB databases of size >4 TB Development, Execution, Automation, and Maintenance of service request processes to provide on-demand and recurring data request from WLID Passport backend databases. - Providing weekly and monthly reports related to passport activities to MS executive team. - Responsible for keeping the reporting server current with PROD data every month. - Writing scripts (batch file, Power Shell and TSQL) to extract and consolidate data for generating active Passport accounts report - Fine tuning and optimizing queries to achieve maximum throughput and turnaround time. Supporting and managing servers in production environment

·         Troubleshooting SQL jobs.

·         Work on project tasks such as building new servers, server migration, upgrading to latest windows OS and upgrading IPAK level on servers, SQL upgrade, IIS installation & configuration.
