Position: Windows Server 2003/2008 Administrator (L2)

Location – Redmond, CA

Duration – 6 Months+

Skills & Job Requirements

Windows Server 2003/2008 (L2)

·         3+ years of experience with windows administration & troubleshooting skills required. roles/features management, UAC management, etc. IIS 6.0/7.5 - (L2)

·         Knowledge of IIS 6.0 or 7.5, Installation, configuration, App Pools, SSL and troubleshooting skills are required. Networking skills (L2)

·         Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, nslookup, telnet, tracert, etc. and troubleshooting network related issues. SQL Server 2008 - (L1)

·         Basic SQL knowledge – not looking for a DBA, can write basic queries, understands different recovery models, database backup/restore operations, knows how to work with query analyzer, etc.

Description:

·         Supporting and managing servers in production and integration environments.

·         Providing application support for business critical applications, troubleshooting and resolving application issues.

·         Handling Incidents and partner calls in client Infrastructure which includes issues related to Windows, App settings and to an extent of troubleshooting SQL jobs.

·         Working with engineering team to troubleshoot complex application issues, participate in planning & deploying new application releases.

·         Installing Security patches to servers & performing password reset for service accounts.

·         Renewing SSL certificate, website configuration and troubleshooting.

·         Work on project tasks such as building new servers, server migration, upgrading to latest windows OS and upgrading IPAK level on servers, SQL upgrade, IIS installation & configuration.

·         Troubleshooting basic network related issues and escalating to networking team and working towards resolution.

·         Providing analysis and troubleshooting for Windows, IIS & network related issues.

Position: Windows Administrator-L1

Location – Santa Clara, CA

Duration – 6 Months+

Job Description/Skills Required:

Customer requirement:

Ø  Installation, configuration and maintenance of Windows 2003, 2008 servers, operating system, storage and backup equipment.

Ø  Monitoring servers using Microsoft Operations Manager for high availability and addressing alert events

Ø  Maintaining hardware health, troubleshooting and vendor coordination when required

Ø  Install, configure and support of Microsoft Cluster server, network load balancing server

Ø  Provide Net Backup support as required to ensure that all server and storage are backed up per standards. Backup restoration support

Ø  Develop and maintain documentation on server, storage and backup environment

Ø  Install and maintain patches and antivirus software as required to meet standards

Ø  Interface with various vendors and support groups on standards, Best Known Methods and the resolution of problematic issues.  

Ø  Assist in the resolution APPS LAB application issues  

Ø  Support server projects as directed in support of the local campus environment

Customer requirement:

Ø  Must have 4+ years of experience in Microsoft 20003, 2008 enterprise environment server support

Ø  Must have hands-on experience in HP Server hardware installation and troubleshooting

Ø  Experience in windows cluster and network load balancing

Ø  Experience in using Net Backup Client for initiating manual backup and restoration on request

Ø  VB/WMI scripting knowledge is mandatory requirement for this position

Ø  Ability to coordinate with different support teams and vendors

Ø  Excellent verbal and communication skills with high customer orientation

Ø  Excellent problem solving skills for technical and software related issues

Ø  Ability to work independently while strictly following technical specifications
