We have an urgent opening for Java Developer with Unix

Location – TX

Duration – 6 Months+

Job Description/Skills Required:

Ø  Candidates should also be familiar with techniques for integrating existing mission critical systems.

Ø  Building applications for large distributed processing systems is a must.

Ø  The developer will be involved in the full system lifecycle, including system design, coding, testing and production support.

Requirements:

Ø  At least 5 years of Core Java Programming Skills in Unix/Windows environment

Ø  Very Strong Core Java Skills: Garbage collection, Serialization, Threading NIO, concurrency package, class loader, JIT compilers, optimizations

Ø  Strong Core Java skills, database skills including writing SQL

Ø  Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Ø  Strong object oriented analysis, design skills and data structures

Ø  Understanding and use of Design Patterns and enterprise integration patterns

Ø  Unix Programming Skills and Admin Skills: Shell Scripts, Perl, awk, sed

Ø  Strong troubleshooting skills

Ø  Team player and the ability to communicate effectively

Other desirable skills include:

Ø  Accountability and ownership of solutions, design, project and team success.

Ø  Experience using Eclipse, CVS/Win CVS/ or any configuration management application
