Location – Connecticut

Duration – 6 Months+

Job Description/Skills Required:

Ø  CCNA, CCNP, Qual CCIE

Ø  2-6 years of networking and extensive knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies

Ø  Installation and basic configuration on Cisco devices

Ø  Estimating bandwidth requirements for different networking solutions and services

Ø  Configuring different Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols

Ø  Provisioning of networking resources for different networking solutions and services

Ø  Diagnose network problems and provide fixes, work arounds

Ø  Network Management with tools like Cisco Works, HP Open view, Big Brother, MRTG.

Ø  Strong knowledge of networking infrastructure based on Gigabit Ethernet, L2/L3 Switching, Frame Relay, QoS, VLANs, Cisco Unified communications etc)

Ø  Expertise in handling technical issues and escalations.

Ø  Extensive experience in the design, configuration and troubleshooting of routing protocols (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), experience with Cisco Router, switches, VPN Concentrators.

Ø  Experience in IPSEC tunneling, QOS, Spanning Tree, VLAN configuration, VRRP, HSRP with traditional ISDN, T1-DS3, Content Switching, Network Design, IP address Management, Performance Management, Optimization, Documentation, and Inventory Management.

Ø  Awareness of Network Managing and Monitoring Tools: HP Open view (especially the Network Node Manager), MRTG, What's Up Gold, Concord, Network Intelligence , Solar Winds Orion, Concord E-Health, Cisco Works, Network Vantage, Cisco works WLSE, Ecoscope, Packet Capture
